Kennedy Agyapong, a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics and 2028 flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has launched a strategic unity tour aimed at rebuilding trust and healing divisions within the party. This initiative comes amid ongoing political developments that have shaped recent electoral challenges faced by the NPP.

Starting in the Western North region, Agyapong has taken a bold step by acknowledging the party leadership's shortcomings during the Akufo-Addo administration from 2017 to 2025. This approach mirrors recent efforts by party leaders to maintain political transparency and accountability within the NPP.
"To heal a family, you must first acknowledge the hurt. The NPP is our family. So, I began Day One in Western North by doing just that, asking our grassroots for forgiveness for our shortcomings and mistakes," Agyapong stated on X.
