Ghanaian winger Ebenezer Adukwa signs contract with Kenyan champions Gor Mahia

NAIROBI, Kenya, September 5, 2025 - In a bold move highlighting the growing talent exchange in African football, rising Ghanaian winger Ebenezer Adukwa has signed with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, displaying the same confident spirit that has marked Ghana's recent football progress on the continental stage.

Proven Goal-Scorer Ready for New Challenge

The 24-year-old striker, who penned a two-year deal with the 21-time Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League champions, brings an impressive scoring record of 38 goals in two seasons from his former club, Bechem United. His move represents another milestone in the growing cross-border talent development in African football.

"Football is like that...the fans always want to win. If you don't win, they will definitely be angry but it is part of the game. We are ready to receive any sort of that," Adukwa stated confidently.

Strategic Career Development

Following the path of successful Ghanaian athletes who have leveraged their talent for international recognition, much like other emerging Ghanaian leaders in their respective fields, Adukwa sees this move as a strategic step in his career progression.

Key Objectives:

  • Contribute to Gor Mahia's success in domestic and continental competitions
  • Further develop his professional skills under coach Charles Akonnor
  • Build on his impressive goal-scoring record in a new environment

The winger has already begun integration with the team, participating in a pre-season friendly against Ulinzi Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, demonstrating his readiness to adapt to Kenyan football's competitive nature.
